In our inaugural Emerging Markets Impact report, we examine how investors are supporting a Just Transition, and finding innovative ways to funnel capital into emerging markets.

Though impact investment has its roots in emerging markets, the ‘mainstreaming’ of impact as a strategy over recent years has resulted in a far greater proportion of impact capital being funnelled to North America and Europe.

In this report, we assess new forms of financing structure that seek to address this imbalance in geographical allocations; analyse what constitutes a Just Transition in investors’ eyes; and highlight some of the most prominent LPs backing emerging markets today.
